PALANGA, BOTANICAL PARK, AMBER MUSEUM

Palanga - one of the oldest Lithuanian resorts. During the tour you will visit the central part of the city where are a church, Kurhauz , the resort city, which is now - the old villas and holiday homes.
Botanical park is one of the prettiest, best preserved, and best maintained parks in coastal region of Lithuania. The palace is set between a pond and the legendary hill of Birute . The park was designed by the famous French landscape architect and botanist Eduard Fransua Andr‚ (1840-1911), who spent three summers in Palanga with his son Ren Eduard Andr (1867-1942) supervising the park's construction.

The Palanga Amber Museum is housed on the estate of Count Feliksas Tiskevicius surrounded by a large and beautifully maintained Palanga Botanical Park.
About 4,500 exhibit pieces are found here. Visitors are acquainted with the formation, processing, practical application, and morphological variations of amber. The museum has a wealth of amber pieces with trapped insects or plants, a collection of unique pieces of amber, and examples of fossilized tree resin brought from all over the world.

KLAIPEDA, SEA MUSEUM - AQUARIUM AND DOLPHINARIUM

Located in a 19th century fortress, the Lithuania Sea Museum comprises exhibitions of marine nature and history of navigation. Near Klaipeda accomodations, the Lithuanian Sea Museum is one of the attractions in Klaipeda that can really bring enjoyment to the whole family. the Sea Museum has been expanded to include an Aquarium and a Dolphinarium that are sure-fire hits among kids and grown-ups alike. Today the museum houses aquariums with fish species from Lithuania’s fresh waters, the Baltic Sea and tropic seas, as well as a permanent exposition of prepared samples of marine fauna. Penguins, Baltic Sea seals and Steller’s Sea lions live in the outdoor pools next to the aquarium building.
The Sea Museum is the place that you can go to if you want your kids to enjoy sea lion and dolphin shows, aside from showing them a number of facts about the sea and the creatures that live in it.

THE CURONIAN SPIT, NIDA

The Curonian Spit is, without doubt, the area of the cultural heritage of Lithuania that is preserved best of all. In 2001 the Curonian Spit was recorded on the UNESCO World Heritage List as a cultural landscape. This is a narrow 98-kilometre long strip of sand washed by water on both sides – the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon. The Curonian Spit formed from the sand washed by the streams of water and blown by the wind.

During excursion You will visit at Juodkrante Witches’ Hill ( here is a unique collection of wooden figures wich are collected on a forested hill in Juodkrante ). Nagliai Nature Reserve ( the most significant in the reserve are the Grey (Dead) Dunes, which are covered with grass vegetation). Parnidis Dune with its sundial and calendar. From the top of the dune the Baltic sea, the Curonian lagoon can be seen. Fisherman's Ethnographic Homestead ( the homestead includes a yard, greenery, a well, residential and farming buildings residential house has interior exposition with the tools, furniture, textures, household appliances and work tools typical for the end of XIX c. – the beginning of XX c.).
Memorial Museum Of Thomas Mann ( the Nobel Prize winner Thomas Mann built a summer house in Nida and spent the summers. Today, this house serves as the writer's memorial exposition and the culture ).

KRETINGA, THE ORVIDAI HOMESTEAD (Museum of Absurdity) and JAPANESE GARDEN

You will visit at Kretinga a palace of Tishkevich with the Winter garden and restaurant, a monastery of the Award of Franciscans.
The homestead of the artist and Franciscan monk Vilius Orvidas is a strange collection of rock sculptures, household utensils, wooden icons, rusted Russian tanks and lots of other things, which the artist’s imagination created from the chaos and which leaves an unforgettable, to be more exact, mystical, impression on the visitors. At Telsiai you will visit – Bishop‘s palace, Priest Seminary and Japanese homestead Museum of Alfredas Jonusas. Here Yuo can enjoy views of a model of the oldest “Horuji pagoda” (Buddhist temple), a copy of the “Okame” mask which belonged to the aristocratic “Nor” theatre, and scenic views of the “Kabuki” traditional Japanese theatre.

EXCURSION TO THE PRISON IN LATVIA

Karosta Prison was a working prison for most of the 20th century, but it now serves as a museum, attraction, and hotel. Karosta, or Naval Port, prison, is located near the historical center of Liepāja, Latvia.
Karosta, a name feared by many for over a century! Karosta hosted one of the biggest former Soviet military base but was also used a jail for dissidents. This huge complex of concrete apartment blocks, barracks and brick buildings was completely off limits to the public until the 90s.
Karosta prison was used by both the Nazis and the Soviets, with many prisoners tortured and executed within its territory.
Guided tours are available to visitors, including a surprise tour. Special programs include an interactive show based upon the real lives of prisoners.
